An Auburn man with a prior violent felony conviction has admitted to selling cocaine in Cayuga County. Travis Swift, of Auburn, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. During his plea, the 34-year-old told Judge Mark Fandrich that he sold cocaine in Auburn in March 2016.
Swift was originally charged with four felonies — two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. However, Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann allowed Swift to plead guilty to one count of criminal sale in full satisfaction of the indictment.
